About us

We bring autonomy to the real-world economy.

For 40 years, enterprise technology optimized software. The human layer was left behind. Employees still fill the gaps between systems manually: entering data, chasing suppliers, reconciling exceptions across tools that don't talk to each other.

We built Fragment to change that.

Our story

Pranav and Naveen have been working together building and launching agentic products since before AI agents became formalized as a concept. Through multiple companies and product launches, they realized there were systemic problems with the way agents were deployed to enterprises. From the technical side, AI agents did not have a reliable or scalable way of understanding a company’s underlying data. And from a business perspective, agents were being deployed in situations where it was difficult for them to actually thrive and deliver ROI.

Pranav grew up in a manufacturing family, living in Portsmouth, Phoenix, Shanghai, Pittsburgh. (His parents even met in a factory). Dinner table conversations were chock full of exciting topics like dual-source supply chains and why additive manufacturing wasn’t realistically feasible. So, naturally he’s been obsessed with leveraging technology to understand and optimize the global supply chain – helping start two companies in the space. He was on the other side of the COVID supply chain shock scaling products at Zoom to enable frontline workers in manufacturing, healthcare, and education to continue their work in lockdown.

Naveen has been obsessed with workflow fragmentation and data chaos since his days in generative AI research. He then scaled a unicorn applied-AI platform for the enterprise world: building within core infrastructure and model training, leading a product engineering team, and developing a deep understanding of what regulated industries actually need to trust and adopt AI. Repeatedly, he saw the same pattern: enterprises stitching together their most critical processes using humans as the connective tissue between systems.

These experiences converged on the same insight. Agents weren't failing because the AI wasn't good enough. They were failing because the data underneath them was fragmented, inconsistent, and scattered across systems that were never designed to work together. No agent could reason reliably on that foundation. Meanwhile, the most expensive work in the enterprise, the exceptions that required human judgment across multiple systems, remained untouched by automation. And every solution that attempted to fix it required ripping out what was already in place.

So they built the Unified Data Interface: a foundation that understands your systems and your tribal knowledge, enables agents to autonomously resolve the exceptions that take hours, and layers on top of everything you already have. Fragment was born.

What makes Fragment different

Knows your systems and your tribal knowledge

Fragment's UDI doesn't just connect to your data sources. It builds understanding across your ERP, procurement tools, documents, and your team's institutional expertise. Agents reason with context no other platform has.

Autonomously resolves exceptions that take hours

Fragment doesn't route problems to humans or suggest next steps. Agents cross-reference systems, apply judgment, and execute resolutions for the procurement work that has never been automatable before.

No rip and replace, ever

Fragment layers on top of everything you already have. No data migration, no integration project, no platform commitment. Swap your ERP next year, Fragment still works.

Principles that guide us

Deliver Customer Success

Our customers are the foundation of our company. Our customers' goals are our goals. We build high-performing, reliable products to improve the business outcomes they care most about.

Unoriginality is Terrifying

We fear the status quo and conventional thinking. We are early to emerging technology and research and approach problems with first principles thinking and a healthy contrarian streak. Even the most mundane of problems deserve creative solutions.

Speed of Trust

We operate with high trust by default - internally and with our customers. Inside the company, this means clear ownership, fast decisions, and low process overhead. With customers, it means transparency, direct communication, and doing what we say we'll do. Trust is how we move fast without cutting corners.

Ego is Enemy

Truth-seeking requires leaving our ego aside in favor of outcomes and solutions. We listen with respect, take feedback seriously, and change our minds when presented with new evidence. We believe the best ideas can come from anywhere and anyone.
